Re-imagining Birth

Thanks for signing up to my upcoming taster session. You’ll receive a video call link in your inbox (please chack your junk folder) closer to the session. Make sure to pop the taster - Wednesday 25th September at 7pm - in your calendar so you don’t miss it.

In the meantime here are some free resources to get you thinking about birth generatively.

Here are a few resources that feature on my list:

Why Did No One Tell Me This - an inclusive book that shares insights into pregnancy, birth and postpartum
Evidence Based Birth - all about research and sharing evidence for informed decision making

Values + Approach

Intersectionality + person-centred relational care

This means working with people as individuals, acknowledging intersecting identities, experiences, needs and barriers, and how these influence how people relate to birth, others and the world around us. Seeking to provide affirming and expansive care and education.

Advocacy + autonomy
Honouring folks bodily autonomy and trusting they are the expert in their bodies and their lived experiences. My approach centres autonomy at every step of the journey and seeks to provide folks with tools to advocate.

Unlearning urgency
I believe in slowing down so we can swell slowly - swelling with knowledge, care, curiosity and much more. I recognise that we are each at different points and learn best in different ways.

Co-creation + lifelong learning
This approach recognises the power of learning in communication. I believe everyone has something they can teach or share and everyone has something they can learn from each other. I'm visioning a future where lifelong learning is celebrated and honoured.
