Values + Approach
Intersectionality + person-centred relational care
This means working with people as individuals, acknowledging intersecting identities, experiences, needs and barriers, and how these influence how people relate to birth, others and the world around us. Seeking to provide affirming and expansive care and education.
Advocacy + autonomy
Honouring folks bodily autonomy and trusting they are the expert in their bodies and their lived experiences. My approach centres autonomy at every step of the journey and seeks to provide folks with tools to advocate.
Unlearning urgency
I believe in slowing down so we can swell slowly - swelling with knowledge, care, curiosity and much more. I recognise that we are each at different points and learn best in different ways.
Co-creation + lifelong learning
This approach recognises the power of learning in communication. I believe everyone has something they can teach or share and everyone has something they can learn from each other. I'm visioning a future where lifelong learning is celebrated and honoured.
